photo Sara Atkinson

Sara Atkinson began taking yoga classes in early 2006, looking for relaxation and from that very first day, felt like she was home. Her practice has evolved from that initial intention, but solidified in the appreciation of the physical benefits, coupled with the mental and spiritual inspiration that has infused her with an internal strength, self-awareness and peace like she had never previously experienced. Her life has truly been transformed and she is exceedingly grateful for the opportunity to guide others on their own personal yogic experience. Sara believes that each of us, no matter how long we’ve been practicing, are and will always be practitioners because yoga is a life-long journey and a way of life. Yesterday, today and tomorrow may bring completely different, beautiful experiences both on and off the mat. When you open your heart and mind to possibility, you allow yourself to grow. Sara completed Yoga Fit Level 1 Teacher Training in January 2007, was a teaching assistant of Baptiste Power Yoga has attended workshops and trainings with Dharma Mittra, Deborah Williams (Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga), Max Strom and Amy Wheeler.  She will complete her 200-hr. Teacher Training in Dec. 2008.

photo Nicole Cummings

Nicole has been practicing yoga for the past five years. Her initial motivation to take up yoga was to find stress relief and reduce back and neck pain. Nicole found that working as a social worker in the child welfare system for several years began to take a toll on her physically and emotionally. Through regular practice she succeeded in reducing the pain. She felt so blessed to experience the powerful emotional healing potential that yoga can offer both on the mat and off. Nicole became certified through YogaFit Level 1, Level 2, and Seniors Yoga in 2007. She continues to attend workshops, conferences and trainings to enhance her own practice and what she brings to her students. She considers herself a lifelong student of yoga and will continue to seek out training to enhance her personal practice as well as her teaching style. Nicole truly feels grateful to be part of a person's yoga journey. It is Nicole's hope that students will find inner peace and a nourished spirit after practicing yoga. Outside of practicing yoga, Nicole stays at home with her toddler.
